Supreme Court to Hear Anderson Case
The U.S. Supreme Court agreed on January 7, 2005 to hear an appeal by Arthur Anderson regarding its 2002 conviction of obstruction of justice. The conviction in 2002 resulted in the loss of 28,000 U.S. jobs, and the demise of an 89 year old firm that had once reviewed the books of over 1,300 public companies. Chicago based Arthur Anderson now employs only 200 individuals, mostly lawyers and administrative staff to defend itself against an onslaught of shareholder lawsuits as a result of the accounting failures of its public clients. However the Supreme Court should rule in the Anderson case, it is still very unlikely the firm will experience a rebirth of any kind.

The food at the Q Center is magnificent. Thanks Arthur Andersen!
I think this is a waste of the court's time - even if the appeal wins - who would benefit?
