Consumers to Loose in DVD Format War
The DVD format war will heat up this year as the fight over the red laser and blue laser rage on. The war centers on the memory capacity of DVDs. DVDs that can be read by the new blue laser contain significantly more memory. If the industry leans heavily on the blue format, consumers will need new DVD machines and have to start building their DVD library from scratch.
